Moving day — packing a portable solar setup
The two setups pack differently. Here's the honest checklist:
Clamp-mounted balcony kit (≈ 15 minutes)
- Unplug the microinverter from the wall socket. Allow 5 minutes for inverter capacitors to discharge.
- Disconnect the MC4 connectors between panels and microinverter (they unclip).
- Loosen the clamp brackets — typically two M8 bolts per bracket.
- Lift panels off the railing (each panel ~10 kg).
- Coil the cable. Pack panels with original cardboard or a soft cover. Panels travel flat in a hatchback boot.
